I cant remember exactly whether it was an intercom key as the lines were not labeled, but yes, at the old site you had to dial a 9 to get out. So if I had extra analog lines, could I do this sort of thing? Do I create some sort of pool for the outbound calls?
Its interesting because this office was moved from an existing site and the functionality worked so that anyone could transfer a call, the line marker would disappear and then able to dial out or receive calls on that number. The site did not use extensions per say, once you dialed xxx-xxx-xxxx...
sorry, I probably misused the word prime line. I had assigned a line to each of the phones. the site has 20 existing analog lines, so I just set the starting DN number the same as the first line number.
for example: Jim already had a line xxx-xxx-4500, now he has a station (DN4500). Line L001...
