I was pretty sure there were no options to use or upgrade them to a BCM450 but I thought I would ask if anyone knew.

I forgot I had a box full of BCM50 VM and IP Client Auth Codes that are still sealed. Is it possible to use these on a BCM450 or is there a way to upgrade them?

If your boss doesn't want to spend the money on Shoretel, don't even waste your time with IP Office. The only way to move from a BCM50 to a BCM450 and migrate current programming is both have to be at R6. Even then it causes many problems that have to be tracked down and fixed. I have only done...
Those clips break easily. If something yanks on the power cord enough to pull it out, it will break that clip. If you have a wall mount the best thing to do is wrap it once around one of the plastic cable management arms and leave enough slack so the power cable reaches the connector on the BCM...
All of the documentation and software for BCM50s can be accessed just by web browsing into the BCM50. If internal DNS does not have it registered, you can use the IP address as the URL. It works in Chrome, Firefox, and IE.

I cannot get Business Element Manager to work after I install Java 7. The update to Java 7 breaks BEM. It gives an error when launching BEM that javaw cannot be found. This happened on two of our laptops. I tried uninstalling and re installing BEM after installing Java 7 and still got the error...
I am familiar with dirty scanners on fax machines. These look more like something messed up during transmission of the fax. It is coming from multiple senders.
I had a tech from my vendor and a tech from the PRI provider both here to fix the issue and they could not solve it. They are claiming the problem must be at our remote offices. Trouble tickets opened everywhere. I will see how this plays out.
That did not fix it. I also have reports that when faxes come through, random pages are missing from the fax. Some pages are streaks of black lines on them.
I was curious about that as I know the Adtran is a CSU. Just unchecked it to test it out. I will post an update after testing. Voice calls worked fine still after unchecking it.
I will list out all the settings:
PRI comes in on a T1 card that is connected to an Adtran 1203022L1. The Adtran's DIP switches are set to: 0dB Attenuation, 0-133 feet cable length. The Adtran is connected to the DTM-PRI that is installed into the BCM450.
The DTM-PRI settings:
Trunk type: PRI...
I have a BCM450 R6 that is fully patched. We are using the CallPilot fax for desktop faxing. Off and on we have experienced problems receiving faxes. People trying to fax us get an error on their fax machines that reads "Poor line condition." Recently this problem has grown and now we have...
I tried the xover cable and still couldn't connect from my PC to the internet. I also tried putting the router on a switch with my PC connected to the switch. Still no connection. If I do a tracert from my PC it reports that the destination is unreachable from the ip address of the g0/1. When I...
I have a firewall (an Astaro) that will be moved over to it once I get it configured. Right now though there is no firewall on it. I am just trying to get connected through the Metro E before I start moving everything off my T1.
My setup with the T1 is the LAN side goes into a switch that a...
