    Dreamweaver 8 & Dreamweaver CS5

If you use Joomla's open source content management systems, johnnyfay, then you can use a component that performs that trick easily. I've just downloaded a component from www.joomlaxtc.com called 'Appointment book' and I think it covers all the things you want. Well, you might be set against...

How to code carriage return in a macro

With two lines, Fumei, we have a considerable space between the lines. Of course - at least, I'm sure - one could code to reduce the space - but using 'vertical tab' means the lines are close together, which looks good. So it is just a matter of aesthetics, though I note well your comments,and...

How to code carriage return in a macro

Hello fumei - Your code for the vertical tab arrived after I sent the previous message (though it appears here above it). I want it because I like to have two lines in the header of some documents. I have the message and the page number of the number of pages. And then it looks good to have a...

How to code carriage return in a macro

First prize, fumei! And I've found the code - vbVerticalTab. Thank you very much - and thanks, too, to Mirko and kermit01de and MazeWorX. Excellent, gentlemen, and I'm very grateful. Cheers paul

How to code carriage return in a macro

Thanks very much, Mirko, and yes, you'd think that one of the two should work, but strange to relate, no. Could it be something on the page that is stopping the macro from obliging? But, no, because if I do an Enter-Shift non-paragraph line break in the header space, it works just as required...

How to code carriage return in a macro

Thanks very much, kermit01de and MazeWorX. That very nearly does the trick, only perhaps I was wrong to call it a carriage return. What I need is the space that comes with using shift and enter together. I thought MazeWorX's 'vbNewLine' would do it, but that makes the gap too big, too. Is...

How to code carriage return in a macro

In a Word macro for a header and footer, I want to have two lines on the header. I need in some way to declare char(10). This is what I have, but the second line - the fullpoints as a dotted rule - doesn't appear. Sub HeaderFooterObjectBest_English() Dim MyText As String MyHeaderText =...

Export a Word doc - do macros go, too?

Many thanks, Mintjulep, will remember that.

Export a Word doc - do macros go, too?

Thanks, Macropod. Seems there's quite a procedure for macros and docx Word docs. But because so many people I deal with have earlier versions, I almost always use Word in doc format. It seems that the place to keep a copy of the macros - for use on another machine - is in Microsoft...

Export a Word doc - do macros go, too?

Thanks very much, Skip. You've nudged me in the direction of making sure the macros are stored more formally. Many thanks.

Export a Word doc - do macros go, too?

Would the macros from there, or wherever the macros are kept, accompany the document when it is put on a website? Or - better still - how can I make sure that it doesn't happen? (Thanks for helping here, SkipVought.)

Export a Word doc - do macros go, too?

Hello SkipVought - I don't know that they are exactly stored anywhere, anywhere special. The normal path when I have opened Word is Developer/Macros - and there they are.

Export a Word doc - do macros go, too?

Usually PDFs are used for downloads on websites. But if for a variation I use Word documents I've prepared in my Word 2010 program, will my macros be present in the documents on the site, too. Conversely, how can I ensure that my own macros don't accompany a Word doc posted on a website, please?

Macro to add text at start and end of each line

Apologies. Been there, many times. Great place. Very grateful for your hard work, Macropod.

Macro to add text at start and end of each line

That's really terrific, Macropod. Confusion over which macro was to take the changes delayed things, but now I see it is working, well, like a miracle. Such labour-intensive production is turned into something really quick. And changes are simple. For example, a number of children's books are...

Macro to add text at start and end of each line

I suspect the problem comes with the lines in Sub AddTags() that I had to replace. You quote 6 lines to be replaced by 3,lines. But I suspect, Macropod, you don't mean all 6 lines to be replaced.

Macro to add text at start and end of each line

To be certain of your last bit of advice, Macropod: I do run one macro after the other, don't I? Get the one that highlights in yellow to run first, and then the next?

Macro to add text at start and end of each line

Yes, so I learned, Macropod. Back from a meeting, and now about to see how it works.
