I'm not sure exactly what you are expressing, but if what you are referring to is that you have multiple objects that overlap each other, regardless whether they are filled or not,
You can select through the z-order of overlapped objects by holding down the ALT key on the keyboard and then...
Start Draw
Click on New (or File->New)
Click on Window (on the top menu)
Halfway down the sub menu list you'll see Color Palettes
Move your mouse over it to display the list of color palettes.
Left click on a palette to display it on your workspace.
