Is that enjoyable for you Vragabond? Indeed when I posted this, like many others, I'm trying to get the answer quickly. I've read about faux columns aplenty before posting. It's the common answer. I thought I made it clear that I cannot simply multiply an image vertically to fill the vertical...
Thanks for your responses. I'm not certain faux columns will work in my case as I need one image in the top of the column to be behind the type. BigRed, your suggestion is appreciated, but it looks like the site needs to be liquid, and I need a set width for this site. I'll have to read the...
Hi there, I saw a similar question to the one I'm asking, but my situation is a bit different I think. I need this green sidebar http://www.zavsays.com/test2column/Untitled8.html to reach the bottom of the page (all the way to the footer). It needs to be flexible (sometimes shorter, sometimes...
I have a client who's inquired about placing videos on their site on a subscription basis (ala Lynda.com). Visitors would pay via credit card to access the videos. I'm not sure where to begin with this? Are there any Shopping Cart type companies that I would be able to create this sort of site...
I just went through hell with a Spry menu in IE8 and I can't tell you what's wrong, but in my case, when I changed my "padding" from 1px to 0px, the menu snapped back into place and behaved properly. Some claim that if the widths of the submenus are different in instances in the code...
Sorry if this question's been asked a million times ... but I don't see a thread about it. Can someone recommend a shopping cart company (e-commerce solution). My needs will be pretty light (selling one or two books). PayPal and Authorize.net's Simple Checkout is a bit too "simple" for my...
I'm on a Mac with Camino as my browser.
The right scroll bar is there on "home, places and topics" but it disappears with the shorter pages "communities, tribes and lost&found." That makes the site shift to the right on the shorter ones. You might need a " overflow: scroll;" code added to your...
Thanks for your response jp. Actually, I was able to change value="alpha" to value="default" on the html page below the form, and that did the trick...
<input type="submit" name="submit" value="submit"/>
<input type="hidden" name="form_order" value="default"/> <input type="hidden"...
Hi there .... I'm a designer and know very little of PHP. I've created a form via GoDaddy's webformailer.php "template" and it works!
it also send the information through the email in a table form ... and that's swell too.
My problem is, it's sending the responses in Alphbetical order ...
You need Acrobat Pro to draw your text boxes, check boxes, etc ....
Then "Enable Usage Rights" so Acrobat Reader users can fill in the boxes and save their changes.
Does somebody know how to pursued the "Buy Now" button to line up with the rest of the text (instead of flushing all the way to the left of the page? I figure I need to apply a css style to the script ... but I'm not having much luck. http://www.estateplanningsmarts.com/orderTEST.html
Thanks...
Hi ... I created an editable PDF and it works fine except for one quirk. When you click the company's logo, which is on the top of each page, Acrobat Reader tries to contact the website with the wrong address, It adds an "A" to the end of the address.
It looks like ... www.example.comA (not...
Hi there,
I design in Dreamweaver, and struggle with things like forms. I found this great cut-and-paste form, which works swell for me, except for one thing. It's demanding ALL fields be filled out, including the Telephone Number, even though the phone number has no asterik...
It's been a while since I worked with someone who used Contribute, but I remember when I went into their FTP folder where the site was hosted, some misbehaving pages were tagged with some sort of "locked" tag. I had to delete those pages and re-upload them on my end.
Wow, you nailed it Vragabond ... Thanks!! I understand what you mean about the h1 font cause when I create a new page in Dreamweaver (from their templates), it puts in some of that large text as a placeholder.
I'll have to go back to Lynda.com and study your solution about using a styled...
I think this is what I needed to post for the css ...
style type="text/css">
<!--
body {
font: 100% Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
background: #666666;
margin: 0; /* it's good practice to zero the margin and padding of the body element to account for differing browser defaults */...
Hi ... I'm trying to sandwich a horizontal menu with two horizontal lines. http://millnergroup.com/MillnerSite09/main.html On a MAC in Firefox, the lines look fine. But on a PC in Vista, the top line travels up much higher. There's too much space between the top line and the menu.
Here's two...
