Alright I know VB6 isnot the best (or suitable) for this. But, just did it for achievement. I know DDK from MS or MinGW or Freebasic can be used for such thing and VB6 isnot suitable so, please don't post any reply that VB6 is unsuitable for this ... and all that .. . I wanted to know the VB6...

    USB Device not recognized

Thanks for your replies .. But, none of them work. They do sometimes (if they do work it is almost 1 outof 89 or so). They cease to work within a minute or two if they however do get recognized. It is so painful that I had to share the drive with other PC or upload-&-download to get the files...

Generate .obj files from VB IDE

    >> There are trolls around who enjoy misinterpreting the entrails of Microsoft -> I'm not one of those who likes spamming. >> Microsoft never said any such thing. -> I read about it in multiple places so believed it to be true. It is my ignorance if what I read was a lie / False (Alarm). >>...

Generate .obj files from VB IDE

Thanks to you, I did. I added a MsgBox and it prevented Vb6 from deleting the '.Obj' Files until I clicked 'OK'. I don't want to bug you but, I have few more questions and don't think starting a new thread for it would be Ok. I know VB6 doesnot support multi-threading. But, VB6 compiled App...

Generate .obj files from VB IDE

    >> The runtimes ship as part of Windows and reg-free COM has been around since XP. Microsoft stated that there would be no MS-VB6 Runtime pre-installed in the Windows 7 Successor(s)...

Generate .obj files from VB IDE

Sorry if I started this thread in wrong place. Alright, this might sound silly but, I don't want an EXE, a DLL or OCX. I want the VB IDE to generate only an .OBJ (Object Files). Now, why would I want that ? I want that because the Linker can do something(s) more than what Microsoft wanted VB...

    Source Editors for Freepascal

What are the alternative source-editors available out there which can be used as an alternative to both the Lazarus and FPC IDE ? I know that Lazarus is itself more than enough for everything but, i want a small source-code editor that can be used to edit source files and used with Compiler...

    Pascal Modular-Programming

In C and C++, it is done by declaring the functions in a header file and #includeing <HEADERNAME.H>. But, while learning Pascal, I couldnot find any guide and or reference on Modular Programming. And, I've been using {$INCLUDE SOURCEFILE.PAS}. What are the other methods of Modular Programming...

Windows 7 - Windows detected a Hard disk problem

Sorry, but I forgot to mention a problem with the Windows 7 OS. The Drive with Drivepath 'D:' sometimes goes hidden and I have to reboot it to un-hide it. This is not a Virus or something. But, it is a Hardware conflict with the Windows 7 OS itself as it didnot happen with pre-Windows 7...

Windows 7 - Windows detected a Hard disk problem

I would like to apologise in advance if I started this thread in the wrong place. The reason I'm mentioning the apology is because it is related to the HDD which (may) fall under Hardware(s) Section. This is one of the first problem of it's kind which I had never faced before. PC...
