Bruce thanks! That was the reason why. I did too notice the WG forums were down.
Have you worked closely with the x550 x750 and x1250 series? If I was to clone the flash card inside the one unit to another would that work?
Its 10.2 so simply due to the OS on the unit I am unable to use the gigabit functionality?
Its funny the WG device allows me to choose gigabit if I force a x750 or x1250 config to it but due to how few ports the x550e has it fails to accept the config and reverts back to the x550 config file...
Thats what the unit says its compatible to be upgraded to the x750 the hardware is all the same. It just seems odd that we can select this on the other unit (x550e) at work when it has not been soft-updated to the x750 series.
WG refuses to talk to me about it unless I buy their support...
I have a older WG x550e unit at home (same as at work) however I noticed that the network configuration only allows to set the device up to 100mbps not all the way to gigabit.
Has anyone else seen this? I know for a face the other unit is identical but there is the drop down for the speed of...
@DigitalD - Yes if my vedor would ever appear onsite. I am much too busy to deal with the BCM.
@firebirdscrambler - Yes I am using the latest manager with the system, thanks for the tip!
Again, this is only for reference for duplication of the issue for users who are unable / not at the skill or confidence level of updating there system but experience the same issue.
I have been playing with this issue and have found out how to recreate it without compromising the system. I have not yet found a solution but since there is very little documentation on this error I am posting this for anyone else.
To duplicate this issue:
1)Log into the BCM.
2)Select...
It is identical to the posts above thats why I referenced them.
`connection was closed due to inactivity` and after that `the device connection has been lost`
Last first time this happened it was on a re-occurring event and we were unable to ever access the backup again, we had to restore to...
Nortel Gurus,
I have a perplexing question for you, we have a BCM400 onsite here and are having issues backing up the BCM. Every time we access:
Administration > Backup and Restore > Backup
We are logged off. This only happens after we attempt to set up a backup to network location. We are...
I have found a solution, putting in the IP and Subnet mask only will update the IP portion of the BCM. However setting it to Auto will check DHCP for an address where you can configure it.
I am unable to adjust my BCM400's subnet mask. I log into the unit and set it to: 255.255.0.0 for the new mask and it does not take affect. I have also rebooted the unit after making the change. I am using the newest Business Element Manager.
I am attempting to forward one users VM's to another user in BCM Element Manager, but I only seem to be able to direct all the calls.
Is this possible?
Right now I have Fwd No Answer, Fwd All set up from (example) 201 to 210 but only calls go through when the VM picks up its user 201's mailbox.
Just looking for a little more clarity here;
dj4020 when you say take (inactive lines + active lines) are you referring to Active Voip or Active Physical Lines?
If thats so I was wondering if you could give me a description of what the difference is between the following
PRI (Private?), Voip...
Ok thanks; is there a way that I can check how many sets I can have in BCM Element Manager? I see all of my active sets under Telephony\Sets\Active Sets (Looks like 111 used).
I looked under Telephony\Lines\All Lines but there are 400+ Lines.
Can someone explain the difference? I just need...
Norstarboy thanks for the info. We want to add more sets.
Specs:
BCM400
v4.0.2
I am trying to figure out what this other hardware is we have.
M12x0 (External Lines?)
M0x16 (Internal Line?) x3
GATM4
DSM32 x3
If my math is correct does that mean we have the ability to have 144 sets?
