I offered that to the customer years ago. When the customer moves a department over to Cisco, we still need to maintain the extension in NEC because at the present time all the trunks still go into the NEC, with two PRI tie lines connecting NEC to Cisco. I told customer that each time I come in...
Customer is in (and has been)the process of deploying Cisco VOIP for past 8 years. But because it is such a large install and tight budget they have been slow about it. Still have at least 130 phones to do yet, plus around 110 fax/modem/analog lines yet to do.
Side 1 worked, side 0 did not.
CPU was not swapped in CMOD.
System has not been rebooted. Afraid to do so in case I lose the entire system and it does not come back up.
All cards are redundant, including power.
Last time I spoke to the customer they were unwilling to spend the $$ to purchase...
Let me start over by adding more detail.
This card was working. It was green and had all ports programmed for stations.
Then the PBX suffered a meltdown (almost literally). I got called in August when the PBX rectifier assembly got smoked from excessive heat. Upon arrival the thermostat in the...
All stations on card show in busy state, but trying to release them thru MBST does not work.
There are no shorted ports (pulled backplane connector to check).
The site I work at has hundreds of offices throughout the world, some Avaya, some Nortel, some Cisco, some Siemens, etc. My site is Avaya.
Today I was told that the local operator function is going to be handled remotely at another site. So calls to the main number here are to be redirected to a...
Port assigned is 021021. 16LCB cards on either side of it.
The card worked fine for many years, and there have been no changes to the circuit cards (added or removed) for at least a decade.
2400IMX with 2.5 stacks. All appears to be OK except one 16LCB card. Card was green, but could not get dialtone from it, and the programmed phones were in MBST.
Flipped up Make Busy switch and pulled card. Reseated it and flipped switch down. Card would not go green. Tried swapping with a known...
Good info Kyle.
I assumed I would need to insert digits but was not sure where. So is it in a Route Pattern I insert digits, or is it in a trunk group that I insert the digits? Because that trunk group is exclusively used to connect to that CUCM.
Kyle, I have no idea what was done to make the Jabber client work when it is online vs offline. I suppose it may have something to do with the redirect to the Unity vmail connection, since that is the point of failure.
I think I WANT to send 10 all the time. Can you tell me what I need to...
Here is an example of what I have in UDP:
Matching Pattern Len Del Insert Digits Net Conv Node Num
7009 4 0 335 aar Y
335 is an unknown entity to me. I thought it would be a route pattern but I did a list of route...
Recently we deployed Cisco in a building on another site less than a mile away. We are connecting to Cisco using Q-Sig trunking.
Users in the Avaya PBX may transfer to the other site and are allowed to take their extension with. Users in the Avaya can then still 4 digit dial to their coworkers...
Is there a way to get a download of a 2400IPX and then look at it offline, without having a PBX available? Like NEC does with the Elite products. You can look at the data from an Elite key system from your laptop without being connected to the system.
All, thank you for the replies. I finally discovered what the problem was. I activated a list trace on his phone and then walked to his office to make the call. This time, the call went thru. Which then pointed to an all trunks busy condition instead of a restriction problem.
I have been reading about FRLs and still do not understand how two users with identical COR on their phones and using the SAME PBX in the SAME BUILDING and using the SAME TRUNK GROUPS can have one user restricted and the other not.
Just not understanding this. Somewhere there must be another...
On my phone I have COR and COS = 1. Another user has the same.
He tried dialing an international call and was restricted. I tried dialing the same call and went thru.
Help me understand how this is possible.
I have tried to export list trunk groups and list stations to .csv files but cannot get the system to do it. I got it to work ONE time, but not any more.
What am I doing wrong?
System is R013x
