    try to increase the darkness of the print. If you unscrew the plate on the bottom you will have access to the dip switches. dip switches 1-4 on the first set of dip switches control the darkness. Try turning on dip switch 4

    I should also add, there is no need to shut down your system to swap the printers out. Just turn it off and unplug.

    Yes, those printers are plug and play. It sounds to me like the paper spring plate is bent. That can cause the problems you described. That piece can be replaced, but it is rather difficult if you don't know what you're doing. I would send it somewhere to get it fixed. I think the part is...
