I had the same problem before, so if you haven't figured out how to go about this yet, here's the "easiest" way to do it.
Here's how I did it:
1) run REGEDT32.EXE (!)
2) proceed to the registry entry that you wanted to delete. (now, just the same you still cannot delete the entry...
