    Tek-Tips Members. I have a 3XGig E card in a Cisco 12000 series router. I can create sub-interfaces, but when I try to set rate-limits, the commands are not available. How ever I can create sub-interfaces on a 1XGig E card, and can set rate-limits. Has anyone else run into this problem...

    I called a college, and he set me straight. I didnt have this in the Cat's config set trunk 2/9 off dot1q 1-1005 (which connects directly to the Cisco 12008. Once that was added the VLAN stayed on the FE Port, and we have connectivty. Thanks for the support! Rich

RJ11<---->RJ45 The console access works, when I plug the RJ45 end into a Patch Panel that is in turn connected to an Octopus Cable to a Cisco 2611.
