    Printer problem

    I have a Compaq A1500 and i upgraded my system to Windows XP Pro.I did not upgrade my driver for the printer before the system upgrade till afterwards. Now I am having problems with the printer.Sometimes I will get an error saying that the port is busy or the printer is busy when it really isn't...

    Everytime I switch user and my desktop appears it takes a very long time for windows to open up. If i click on internet explorer it will take about 4 to 5 minutes to open.What can i do about this?
