As far as I know, the modems that I purchased are my property. I do acknowledge that the fact that firmware is present muddies the water from an intellectual property perspective. DSL console commands reference
I too can confirm that the D-Link DSL-300i can be connected via the serial port. It requests a password. The default password "admin" (according to the PDF manual) does not work for the two TELUS-based modems I purchased. I too would be interested in hearing if anyone knows the default...- pbryan
