    InDesign CS2 backward compatibility with InDesign 2.02?

    Opened my InDesign 2.02 file and turned off all the fonts except Arial using Adobe Type Manager and saved it as a new file. Also went into the file and changed all the defined styles to Arial and saved as a new file name. Neither file would open in InDesign CS2. I am baffled!

    Thanks for the suggestion, I will give it a try. Some files have lots of defined character styles so this will take some effort but I'd rather not "lose" these valuable files if at all possible.

    InDesign CS2 backward compatibility with InDesign 2.02?

    Can anyone tell me if there is anyway to open InDesign 2.02 files in InDesign CS2? (PC versions) Haven't been able to upgrade to CS2 because trying to open a V2.02 file crashes my system. Any suggestions welcome!
