I am trying to connect CME v8.1 to the CM using SIP. The systems are in different states and we are connected with the MPLS PPP link.
Here is what I have on the CME:

Yes, I confirmed the “Keep DN Alive” box was still checked.
In fact, that was the only box available under the “IP Terminal Details” tab after I deregistered the DN...
It looks like in order for this setup to work, I have to break the relationship between the MAC address of the set and the DN...

After I Deregistered the DN that was already configured as ‘Keep DN alive’, it was moved to the ‘Inactive DNs’ group and is ‘Not in service’ anymore.
Any other ideas please?

Yes, I know I can Deregister the DN and that will fix my problem.
But the gole is to use this DN as a 'virtual' extension and keep it live all the time because it is working DN and it is forwarding all calls to the cell phone.
If I Deregister this DN 2215, I can reuse the phone...
