I would like to open a .txt file and save it with the same name but with an .xml extension. I think that that bit is fairly straightforwad but what I can't do is to do this for all the .txt files in a directory/folder. Please help.

I have a table of say 1000 records each split into 10 categories, so for example there are typically 100 * cateory 1, 100 * category 2, 100 * category 3 and so on. How can I export out just the category 1's to a file and then just the category 2's to a seperate file etc...
