splitting a database - where does front end file go?

Hello I am splitting my 2007 .mdb by using the Database Splitter. I am following these directions I see that the back end (be) file is created but I'll be damned if I can figure out where the front end file is going. Any ideas? Thanks. How to Split a Microsoft Access Database Splitting a...

    Compiled Reports in CRX?

Hello I am running CRX and we use Control M to schedule reports. According to the company's website, you can create a .EXE and run it on the Windows Command prompt. The problem is (as you will see below), there's no REPORT, COMPILED REPORT functionality in CRX. Evidently, this has changed...

Copy data from Oracle to MS Access

Another obvious one: save the Oracle table as a .csv and then import it into Access. You can then just import the table if you like.

exporting steps in Macro to temp table in Access

Hello I'm not a big fan of the Documenter and need a quick way to export the arguments in a macro to a tbl in Access. A while back, a friend of mine showed me how to create a temp table of all objects in a .mdb to a file with object type. I imagine that this can be done as well. Any help...

Not one, per se. Just providing options.

    grouping/report formula question

Adding a command would be an option if the performance locally wasn't so slow. I can only imagine how long this would take to run going through additional layers over the Web. I have put the SQL below. This might be an instance in which performance trumps format. Select...

    grouping/report formula question

Thanks. I built the group selection formula. I'm not sure, though, about which running total I would use to get around this CR limitation. Ideally, only the differences would print from the sum of 01 time records.

    grouping/report formula question

I don't follow. I must be missing something. I didn't see that new 'diff' calc as a field on which I could use the select expert to suppress zero values. I think that I am stuck with using the entire report, exporting to Excel, and then filtering. Thank you.

    grouping/report formula question

Thank you! //{@diff}: sum({record.wages},{employee.employee}) - {employee.rate} where do I put the calculation? and add it for the difference. Add "it"? What do you mean?

    grouping/report formula question

Hello I have CRX and SQL Server 2000. In the time record table, I have the following: EMPLOYEE, PAY CODE, HOURS, WAGES 123, 01, 40, 1000 456, 01, 20, 500 456, 01, 24, 1000 ETC. On the employee table, I have: EMPLOYEE, RATE 123, 1000 456, 1400 I'd like to be able to write a report that...

Windows XP Pro Not recognizing USB 2.0 devices

Well, I have quite a few devices in my townhome connected to the same power source. I don't believe that I have an outdated or corrupt driver. I'm just doing POE.

Windows XP Pro Not recognizing USB 2.0 devices

Yes. I think that it might be a power issue that I can solve by buying a Belkin Battery Backup.

Windows XP Pro Not recognizing USB 2.0 devices

Hello Gateway/MPC have been unable to help me. In the device manager, I have multiple USB Root Hubs, something that may well be causing my computer to be confused. As a result, my external hard drive, blackberry, iPod, and the like are often (usually) not recognized. Uninstalling the...

    maximum based on multiple fields

{BENEFIT.START_DATE} = Maximum({BENEFIT.START_DATE}) wouldn't work, as this is employee-specific. The concat grouping works. Thanks, dgillz!

    maximum based on multiple fields

Hello I am running CRX. I have easily done a maximum(check_date, employee) calculation to pull an employee's latest check date. I did my group on EMPLOYEE and got one record per employee (although the employee has multiple checks). The following is vexing me, though. EMPLOYEE, PLAN_TYPE...

I am probably just missing a step. See attached and thank you. "there must be a group that matches this field" error appears.
