    InDesign CS crashes when placing files

    In Mac 10.3.x InDesign CS, When placing photos or text files into my document InDesign crashes if I click in the far left column in the Finder while browsing for the file from the Place dialog. This is can be worked around, but a solution would be better. Any suggestions?
