    USB DVD-RW drive disappeared

    I have a Sony DRX-510UL (usb connection) DVD-RW drive that is no longer recognized by my computer. It spins up ok, but the USB connection thing does not see it. When I unplug it, WinXP does make that little "ding!" noise, so presumely it does see something. I have a USB keyboard that works ok...
