Thx folks. Yes, I thought about doing the dir >thing, but want something smarter, and wanted some actual testimonials. I like the idea of ensuring it's NOT just a fileNAME duplicate but byte-by-byte! thx! pete- prondina

My hard drive is becoming awfully full. I'm wondering, there must be some utility programs out there that tell you how many files/folders are duplicates, and allows you to selectively delete them... peter- prondina

XP driver needed for Fentek-Ind keyboard w/ glidepad
Fentek says their device is plug and play, and does not need any additional driver. ANd in fact, the device driver is for a PS/2 mouse. But unlike laptops I've worked with, this glidepad does NOT have any way to adjust the 'sensitivity' of the mousepad, so it is EXTREMELY easy to accidentally...- prondina

Lost Powerbook G3 password...
A friend was given a Powerbook G3, as the person he got it from could no longer remember the OS password (that is, it starts up fine, loads the OS (9?) and THEN prompts for a password...)
