I definitely don't have another box. The only box I have is the normal one when you're adding a new user. The Name and In Folder are all that I have.
Weird huh??
When I do this (You will now see a "System" folder. Select the folder, right click and choose "properties"
Select the Security tab.
Select the Advanced button.
Select the Add button.
Select the Object Types button.) I do not have an Object Types button and I do not know why.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
I am wondering if I am missing some ojects in AD. Could someone please look at their working SMS and tell me what items/folders they have under thier domain\System Management.

I originally had SMS installed on this server but I ran out of hard drive. I formatted the server and rebuild it. I did not think to uninstall SMS first (1st mistake). I was then having issues with the permissions that I am sure I have all fixed now. I used ansiedit to modify AD to make sure...
Yes. I finally got it up and running. It just took forever to push it out to the clients. Now I'm trying to figure out how to set up the security updates.
Thanks.
I have run out of space on the drive that SMS is installed on (long story). I JUST got it running and I hate to scrap it all just to reinstall.
Can I reinstall on the much larger partition (same machine) while leaving this one alone and then transfer the information? Or am I outta luck...
I have tried numerous times to push the client installs to my test machine to no avail. Here is what I have done so far:
1) Made sure to put an administrator account in the Client Push Installation Properties\Accounts tab.
2) Even tried manually installing the client but still can't view the...
Thank you so much for your help. I think I finally deleted it. It doesn't show up anyway when I list the domains. I just have to wait for it to replication throughout so the users will not see that domain listed when they log on.

I have tried to do the metadata cleanup that MS recommends to remove the orphan domain. Here is what I did. I changed the names of my server and domains so I hope it's not too confusing to figure out. Thanks for you help.
C:\>ntdsutil
ntdsutil: metadata cleanup
metadata cleanup: connections...
We have Exchange 2003 loaded and when we check the Hide from Exchange address Lists they still show up. We were able to use this in Exchange 2000 but for some reason it has quit working in Exchange 2003. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?
Thanks,

I have multiple access points at my house. I also have a Centrino laptop that keeps jumping from the strong WAP to the weaker WAP. Is there a way to force it to use the strong WAP first and not keeping jumping back and forth. When it jumps, it goes from strong to weak to no signal and back...
In Exchange 5.5 you were able to update the turf table to add domains that you were trying to block and it was very easy to do.
Does anyone out there know where the addresses that you enter into the message filtering in Exchange 2000 go to in the registry? I have looked everywhere in the...
We are having some problems with an old GPO. We originally set up an install file \\servername\sharename for Office 2000 Pro. The server has since been retired and the GPO that was listing the msi file was deleted some time ago.
We are having a problem with some of our old machines and now...
I have tried setting it up using the downloaded file and it indicates that it is loading the correct named driver. It will load 2 out of the 3 pieces but the main driver itself always finishes with an exclamation mark.
My guess is that somewhere in XP's many updates it has changed something...
I am having trouble setting up my SMC wireless network card. WinXP automatically detects the card, but it doesn't load any devices. I downloaded the latest driver from SMC but when I try to load it I get a message stating the wizard cannot find the necessary software.
I am getting really...
I had a great way to load spam addresses in Exchange 5.5 directly into the turf table, but we have migrated to Exchange 2000 and I do not know where the turf table went.
Does anyone know?
Thanks.
