Okay--This problem has been solved (by me). The router and the Asecrom modem both had the IP address of 198.168.1.1 and the modem (or the router) were confused. I changed the routers IP address to 198.168.0.1 and I am able to get on line thru the router. It took a little research but it...- quitit
