Remote access to small network
Obviously I am not real familiar with VPN, but I have heard it is real slow. Is that true, and if so, are there any good alternatives? If not and the company uses a SnapGear VPN server (or openvpn on a linux box), how do the remote users use the built in PPTP or L2TP VPN clients?- mgm00056

The company is growing quickly but short on cash. A friend of mine had said to set up a windows 2000 server and have the router point to it, but he was not sure how to implement that.
