    Start mq on Solaris

    You just have to start qmgr, the listener and the command server. Just have a look throw the Quick begginings manual for sun solaris you´ll find it at ibm webpages.

    can't clear a local queue

    You have to be sure that the queue has not opprocs either ipprocs. Anyway that´s not seem to be the correct message the message you receive is for a non empty queue but when you try to delete it not to clear it.
