Outlook 2002 "Insert as Hyperlink" problem
If the hyperlink is not a consecutive string (i.e. there are spaces in it, or the like), you'll have to place "<" and ">" around it; are you doing that? likewise, as a workaround you could create a shortcut on your local machine and attach it as a file - that might work...- kinrowan

Another possible solution for this problem that I have experience with (having none with Add-ins) is to have VBA code build a temporary CommandBar.
