    Can ping but not connect to server

    Thanks for the help, but I think I figured it out. I reboted and reset the hub and router and that seemed to fix it. Probably should have started out with that, but it just seemed too easy :) Thanks for the feedback!

    Hello, I am using a Windows 98 computer to connect to a Windows 2000 server through a LAN. I can ping the server, and it can ping my Win98 computer but I am unable to connect to the server from the computer. What seems stranger still is that I can access the shared hard drive on the computer...
