    Windows XP won't shut down properly

    Another idea, if the computer continues to do this. If you are on a network, go into BIOS and disable Wake-On-LAN.

    FYI Shutdown Problems

    If you have followed all of the suggestions on the solution for a Restart when the computer is suposed to shutdown problem, and it still doesn't work for you. The problem may be this: 1. Go into BIOS 2. Turn off the option for Wake-On-Lan if it is enabled.
