    Cannot load os on new pc

    I replaced the RAM with a new RAM this time and it is now working fine. The last RAM I replaced was not compatible. Thank you everyone for you help. I thinktha combination of the RAM being replaced and disabling the APIC in BIOS has resolved the problem

    Cannot load os on new pc

    I disabled APIC in BIOS and replaced the IDE cable to an 80-pin. Now I am receiving the error: C0000221 - hard error I have replaced the RAM also and I am still getting the same error. I also tried installing W98 but getting the same error. Any more ideas???

    Cannot load os on new pc

    I cannot load Windows XP on to a pc that I am building. The process runs through ok until I get to the setup screen and then I get an blue screen error page 'PFN_LIST_CORRUPT' telling me that I have to check all the hardware. Is this a hardware issue or a problem with the XP cd?
