CSS KB and sheet number limits?

Is there a recommended limit to the number of CSSs one can use for a particular page? For example, does 4 or 5 CSSs weighing and average of 4KB each seem excessive? Although it seems to works fine on my site, could it cause problems I’m not aware of yet? - popcity

    "! important" in CSS (?)

I noticed this in the CSS of a site (on many of the elements): TD { color: #000000 ! important; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; } with "! important" in bold red. Could someone tell me what the "! important" is for and does it work? - popcity

Mouseover-highlight beyond the line-break - up to div box?

Is it possible to have a link’s mouseover-highlight effect going beyond the line-break, in other words, right up to the edge of it’s containing div box? It used to work with a ‘100%’ thrown in, somewhere, but since adding a DOCTYPE declaration, it no longer does! - popcity

External CSS editor to appear when CSS file is double-clicked

I recently decided to move from FrontPage to DW. My first problem with DW is figuring out how to have the CSS editing tool I’m used to using (the most excellent TopStyle Lite, by Bradbury) to show-up automatically when I double-click on a CSS file. Could someone help me? - popcity.
