if i set the locktype of the rest of the record sets to read only that should solve the problem? because now there is no lockType configured (default is read only)...

Hi, well... it turns out that i had a problem with just some of the records, most of the records turn out just fine without using the unescape. but i needed it anyways so thanks!

when i open a recordSet and insert the data into a text area in a form on a web page, i get the actual unicode characters ó instead of the special character it represent. how can i show the decoded text on the text area?

The wget.exe does a great job in converting the entire site from asp to html including all the images pdfs etc. it also makes multiple html pages to show all the items stored in the DB and wich originaly were seen using one asp page! thanks a6m1n0

yes it needs to generate a single page for every item in the catalog, the catalog have a drop down list with all the items in it, also some pages with links to the items arragned by categories etc.
