All services were fine and started correctly - no errors in the event logs.
I could Telnet into the IMS on Exchange from an external source, so I investigated the DNS - seems our ISP had changed our mail server DNS entry - coincidence or what! Needless to say I...

We can Telnet into the IMC and successfully send an email.
However, this is done by using the IP address? Since emailers use the DNS name, I guess this suggests there is something wrong with the DNS???

We had a power outage during the night, which resulted in no external email being sent from our Exchange box and no incoming email. We managed to get the external email to be sent to the outside world, however we cannot receive any email!
