I have to go into one of the offices I support when no-one is working tomorrow. We've all been there.
We had to reboot the Windows 2003 server last week - it's a basic P4 3.2 clone with 1Gb DDR400 and 2 mirrored Hitachi 10k 73Gb SCSI's and Adaptec 29320 controller. It took over an hour to fully...
I've got two 2003 servers (SBS2003) that I manage from home. I use a VPN (PPTP), Terminal Services and Outlook Web Access on both.
Since Friday I've been unable to access the VPN and OWA on one of them. I get an error 800 on the VPN and "cannot find server or DNS error" on the OWA. The only...
Since I installed a VPN connection on our SBS 2003 server our Windows 98 clients can no longer connect to the domain and get the message "No domain server was available to validate your password. You may not be able to gain access to some network resources."
No problem with our XP Pro machines...
I've OWA working fine now, but will check out RPC over HTTP as an alternative. Both avoid the need of a VPN, is the RPC much more secure.
Thanks for the ideas.
Rob
Sorry for delay in reply, I'm on GMT and it's now 8.45am.
I'm beginning to see the logic and have opened the hardware firewall, but the ISA is blocking me out. I get the message "You are not authorized to view this page" HTTP error 403.6 as if my IP was restricted, but no limitations were set...
Great!!! I like it, sab4you, I like it!!!
As you know when I type in http://localhost/exchange I get the OWA for the user I'm logged on as, exactly how I wanted it.
From your first reply you say I don't need to set up a VPN for OWA, how would I connect remotely - (through a browser? I've tried...
I use Netgear VPN Firewalls and have set up office to office VPNs with these firewalls at each end, so I feel ok about setting up a connection for Internet users to connect to an exchange server.
Thanks for pointing me towards Outlook Web Access - I'm reading up on it now. I'm using SBS 2003...
I'm really sorry if there is such an obvious answer to experienced Exchange Administrators, but how do I allow our users to view their emails through a VPN connection to our Exchange 2003 server when their away from the office, just like a POP3's Webmai.
I've seen it in practice, but I'm not...
A month ago I kicked out 2 old Compaq P4 500MHz servers both running 2000 Standard Server and one was a dedicated Exchange 2000 Server. Both were running 3 SCSI drives in a hardware RAID 5 setup and 1 Gb memory.
I replaced these with one IBM X226 Xeon 3.2 server with mirrored 73Gb 10k SCSI...
We've recently upgraded to ES2003 and Outlook 2003. Since doing so nearly all our email are received timestamped 8 hours ahead of time. The send log records the correct time.
We've been through all the settings and can't find anything obvious. Has anyone else come across this problem and what...
If I send an email to two users on our network, each receives two copies. If I send to three users or cc a third each receive three copies, and so on.
Has anyone else encountered this problem?
Thanks,
Rob
This is really to do with ES2003, but I'm desparate so please take the time to read this plea.
I feel I am ready to take on Exchange Server again after numerous failed attempts during the days of 28.8k dial up and ES 5.1.
I've just set it up at the weekend and internally it's great. But does...
I'm sorry if I sound a complete idiot - but I'm finally ready to take on Exchange Server again after numerous failed attempts during the days of 28.8k dial up and ES 5.1.
I've just set it up at the weekend and internally it's great. But does it want to communicate with the rest of the world...
We've just upgraded from an NT4.0 domain to Server 2003 (as part of SBS 2003). We did this over the weekend and started using it properly on Monday.
Just seven workstations and the server. Five workstations are fine but yesterday when I was trying to access a file on the server I was told the...
