HI - I am DBA for a public service body. I would say that processor speed is not your main concern. Transaction processing rates will ultimately depend on database structure and application design, and not on raw processor speed.

Terry, I think I've resolved my problem - It seems to have been a permissions issue - by setting file and folder permissions to 'Everyone/Full', at least, I've restored my databases to a working state.
I'll worry about the security issue seperately!

Hi JuanCarlos. The stored Procedures in my installation are under 'Databases'=>'master'=>'Stored Procedures'. I don't know what the Spanish names for the stored Procedures are, are, but Spanish Dictionary equivalents at http://lucas.hispalinux.es/ORCA/glosario.html
