Win2000 not recognising saved data when previewing report
I have tested this issue on a Windows98 machine with the same results. That is, the crviewer.dll doesn't appear to recognise the saved data on either of the Win98 or Win2000 machines, while it's fine on WinXP. The strange thing is that the Win2000 machine has a full Crystal 8.5 install on it...- andrewconcord

My application produces the report on the server, and then exports it to the rpt format, with the data saved. I then copy the report to the client machine where I preview it with crystl32.ocx. ADD column if NOT exists - possible?
Is there anyway to write a table maintenance script that will add a column if it doesn't already exist. I need to maintain many identical tables at different sites, and want a refresh script that will always ensure all the default columns have been created.- andrewconcord
