If anyone still has this piece of code, please email it to me. I am struggling with an issue of a Windows 95a pc getting a runtime error when the print common dialog box is shown for the second time without closing the application down. It prints correctly the first time, the second time you hit...
Perhaps I wasn't clear enough in the first post. I don't want the text to be straight up and down, I need it to slant to the right.
By the way Dreamboat, your website is AWESOME!
Thanks!

I know that in Excel you can change the alignment of a cell you are using as the column header by choosing format, cell, alignment, and using the arrow make the header slant from the bottom left of the cell to the top right of the same cell, making long column labels easier to read and look...
After installing a software program, I kept getting this error. The reports are viewable and printable, but I am unable to register this dll. The machine involved is a Windows 95 machine. I don't get the error on a Win NT machine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I was unable to locate a...
When I am in the IDE mode of VB, trying to work on some code, I cannot compile the project in order to even get to the code. I am assuming this is because I have Crystal Ver. 8 loaded as an independent piece of software. If I load Crystal 8 on the D drive instead of the C drive, would that allow...

Wondering if it is possible to use two or more different databases in one crystal report. Most of the data can come from a single database, but in order to include vendor information in the report, I would need to include a PeopleSoft table. The rest of the data resides in a DB2 database...
Try entering "error detected by database dll" on the Crystal website, on the knowledge base search page...are you sure that the error number was 20354 and not 20534?

The first time I open a file on the network drive, it opens up, no problems at all, but the second time I attempt to open a file on that drive, it takes forever for it to open, almost as if it cannot find the drive.

I should have been clearer in my original posting, Ken, the tables are from a DB2 database. I mentioned Access as a possible way to create a separate table of discontinued patterns. I do not have a lot of experience under my belt with Crystal, so I really am not sure if I can create a...
(This is concerning a Bridal Registry)
I have a table of pattern names of dinnerware. The company sends me a list of discontinued patterns. I then create a report to pull the names of the bridal registrants who have selected those particular patterns in order to mail them a notification that the...
Thanks for the quick response!! I came to the same conclusion to solve the problem, but being a relative "newbie" to Excel, I think I was afraid to believe I actually had solved the problem so easily. I appreciate your help, it boosted my self-confidence!

I import a text file from DB2 to Excel in order to manipulate the data for a report. It gets imported as a text file, and there are a couple of columns that show negative numbers, with the hyphen on the right. When these columns are imported, they register as text, not a number, and I need a...
I have found that if the trading partner you are dealing with is transmitting through the Geis van, you need to also set up the partner on the Geis website so that the whole process actually runs correctly.
