    I don't think I can run a deltree as I am not sure if it will loop back and delete the sysvol as thats what seem to happen when you try to delete folder

    The problem is not the name it is the fact that it stops backups and searches of the drives due to long paths. I don't think renaming it will help as it still has a junction point pointing to the sysvol directory.
