I am running a DOS program under Windows ME. The DOS program requires a config.sys file with "files=128". Every time the system restarts the contents of the config.sys file goes away. Does Windows ME have its own way of dealing with the config.sys information? Thanks
Every time my system restarts, the desktop settings change to a screen with a black background and huge icons. I go into display settings to correct this, but they change back on the next restart.
I also encountered this problem recently. The file name I was using included some special characters, like _ (underscore) and the file name was fairly long. I renamed the .PDF conversion file to a shorter file name without special characters and the conversion went fine.
