I am pulling my hair out getting this layout! Is there a tutorial on the 'rules of css'?
Apparently I don't understand what relates to what.
I want my navigation buttons to line up along the top and my slideshow object to come just under, then immediately under that my little content. ( The...
Ah!! That is Great!!
What Wizards! It is awesome to see such a small amount of code, so well organized!!!
Exactly what I'd love to be able to come up with on my own someday!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH, you have no idea how long I have been working on this!
here's the final...
I sliced up the graphic to reduce the image size and increase loadability. I have been experimenting with using is as a background for the page, but can't seem to get the right css to make it not repeat.
You are correct in your layout, that is what I'm trying to achieve.
The curly end part is...
I want my header to view properly and still be liquid. I am trying to get away from using include pages and go with strict xhtml and css.
view problem: http://www.believersfellowship.info/New%20BF/index7.htm
Here's what I WANT it to look like...
do they have to be in the top level images folder? Mine are in a sub web while I'm developing it: believersfellowship.info/New BF and then the buttons are in:
[buttons/images]. I tried putting absolute URL in....
NOPE
why do the frontpage generated ones work and not mine?
So, I tried...
You are right,
so..., are there any good articles or tutorials about what that entails? I have percentages instead of values for my tables, what else can I do?
I appreciate any help.

btw I'm on the 4th version now http://www.believersfellowship.info/New%20BF/index4.htm
WELL, the /*url*/ in generated by frontpage and seems to be necessary for their buttons to work. I am going to try another route and try to get away from javascript.
Thanks for the help.
First make sure you have saved your photo file in Photoshop as an HTML file:
FILE>SAVE FOR WEB
A window will pop up asking you to select which file size you want--be sure to select in the right hand column if you want it to save as a .gif or .jpg
Once you select Save another window will prompt...
IMHO It did take a while to load.
A couple of points to ponder:
I liked the graphics once they finally loaded...and my machine isn't as outdated as most people I know.
I love the visuals but I love pictures and graphics. Most people really wouldnt take the time.
The before and after is...
I'm not quite up on my javascript and I want to have a rollover button I made in photoshop...why isn't it working?
the site is: [http://www.believersfellowship.info/New%20BF/index3.htm] it is the 'announcements'button on the left nav bar
the <head> script looks like this:
function...
Great!!! Thank you, works like a charm (of course)
Any thoughts/preferences: Should I put the Navigation bar (which includes dropdown menu yet to be built) on the include page or on the separate pages?
Thanx,

HELP! The header wont line up. It's an include page:
It lines up in it's own page but since I have it in a table on the page it's doing it's own thing.
Any clues? Or, should I just plan on putting it in there without making it...
Yes, this is an optimized sliced image generated by Photoshop,I was talking about editing it while still in photoshop-- I discovered that when I select the layer and changed some of the attributes to either darken or modify the .gif as a layer it got anti aliased and rasterized.
you can see...
Well, I'm no pro, but I reduced the look of a rash with the dodge tool with the exposure % set down to about 7% to diffuse gradually.

HTH,

I have Photoshop CS, so I hope this is the version you're using. There is a great tool for exactly this: open both of the pictures you're using: the too dark one and the one that is the right exposure. Keep the one selected that you intend to fix. Do IMAGE>ADJUSTMENTS>MATCH COLOR The...
Hi, I'm trying to put a .gif logo onto a background and there is a faint white line around the entire thing: view it here:
