I've recently obtained a cisco pix 525 firewall, it powers up but stops booting whaen it states its the secondary firewall in a failover system. It won't let me boot past that point.
Is there a way to restore/reset the unit so that it can be configured as the primary firewall ??
thanks

So I've tried everything listed above and I still have had no luck... but I have found that my router is loading the bootloader image instead of the IOS. also I cannot (no matter what I do) get the router into ROMmon mode.... It just boots to Router(boot)>
