However, can water so easily penetrate the cable jacket? Or, can it be enough - that you do not make it through the test - if the cable only comes into contact with water?
Hallo everyone, thanks again for all your input.
I think I know what ultimately the culprit is. I have discovered (by chance) water and moisture in some of the cables. No idea how that could have happened.
It's now a matter of first replacing some of those cables and from there see what needs to...
NEXXT TYPE CM 23AWG 4PR 75oC (UL) E318654-1 CSA LL79189 CMG 75oC ETL VERIFIED to ANSI/TIA-568-C.2 CAT 6.
This is the standard cable we use (for years) and never really had problems with it.
Okay jrgood0852, I'll try it first on the patch panel. But... what do you mean actually under bad termination? Dos it means that the wires do not make enough contact or that I did do anything wrong? Testresults of all wire maps are just fine.
I'll let you know asap what the result has become...
Have very good experiences with the CableIQ.
It may be that there is something wrong with the tester ... that's always a possibility. But other testresult afterwards indicate that's not the case.
I have a lot of patch cables so I'm going to test them all and see what results I get.
Thanks for the replies.
mforrence: I bought the CableIQ NEW without owners manual or references doc's. I also can't find anything on the internet.
jrgood0852: I will try it. But it's strange that i don't have problems with the wire maps.
wires: most (60%) of the cables shows these faults.
