LPR is windows TCP/IP printing. You use windows to create a port on the machine that looks like a local port but points to the IP address of a printer. It then appears on your machine as a local printer.
LPR stand for Line Printer Remote.

user cannot open lotus notes again unless they close the nlhdaemon process in taks manager. user leaves notes normally but this process doesn't stop for some reason.
