My brother is moving to England and he was wondering if his land line phones will work there. I have searched the internet and these forums and it looks like the line and ring voltage is the same, but cannot find any straight answers. Also, is the caller ID compatible?

I checked it and there is no mention an auto answer count. But there is an area that lets you choose an internal or external modem. How hard is it to hook up an external modem? If I can hook an external modem I can control the rings then. Thanks for your help.
Is there a way I can change the number of rings before the remote maintenance port on my G3r answers the call? Right now it is at one ring which does not allow a Caller ID box to capture the Caller ID information.
