    Thanks; I've tried that in both MSCONFIG and with a startup manager as well. In fact I've "deleted" the the program in the manager. But when my son uses the program (MSN) it re-establishes itself in the startup menu. Same with a realplayer update exe. Cheers!

    Finding driver files

    Hi; You could try this site which has a free version of a program that finds the drivers on your system, and lets you make a back up copy of them. As per the last reply, some may not work with XP, but some may http://www.jermar.com/wdrvbck.htm
