Excel 2000 Error
I have an Excel 2000 installation that is having multiple problems. The "X" button to close the application is greyed out and the application can only be closed by choosing File, Exit. Also, when using certain documents and trying to "Save As", Excel gives an error that the function is not...- mhay

Windows 2000 Bootup
Glad to know somebody else is having the same problem. We ended up switching out several parts but nothing seemed to work so we switched out motherboard with another machine that was identical. Did this on Thursday and so far it's been working...but not sure if it will continue to work. Same...- mhay

Yes, it only happens when it's first turned on in the morning, usually around 7am. We've tried reconnecting everything on the motherboard and are also trying switching out some parts. Thanks for the replies....have considered the heat thing but not sure which components might be causing the...- mhay

the temp stays the same in the building at all times....checked event logs and nothing shows up. also checked fan on cpu...none of those things seem to be a problem.- mhay

Windows 2000 Bootup
Have a Dell pc with Windows 2000 that freezes at the Dell splash screen on bootup. Only happens in the mornings...will boot up fine the rest of the day. Hard drive passes diagnostic tests and no conflicts have been found. BIOS was upgraded. Any ideas?- mhay
