    SMS technical random question

    is there some type of time out when sending text messges? EG: if i send an SMS to a phone that has no reseption or the recipent phone is turned off, how long will the SMS attempt to send before it gives up or times out? im thinking this maybe network dependant and different for 3G phones etc...
