Have you issues command "ip routing" ? if not you will not not route
You will also have to make sure the "connecting" network exists on both of your L3 devices...
It sounds like you have a corrupted boot image. You have to recover. The process sucks. There is a document out there on it.
I would type out how to do it, but its too long and too many little things to watch for. Find the recovery document or call support. Sorry.
Hello,
My department is trying to multicast some MPEGs and the like but for some reason cannot connect to the server. Does anyone know if there are any settings that I need to change for this to happen??
I am new to the video multicasting stuff, but I can also say that we can use a hub...
I am trying to find a rogue MAC that keeps popping up on my network. Becasue of the way I have my IP structure network segmented it will tell me the building and floor of the MAC.
If, that is, I can get my switches to record or notifiy me of its existance when it is inserted.
Thanks
J
I hope we dont have that many issues... we just got in 2 3120s and 57 1001s I have to get config for 3 channelized DS3's...
1 thing I can say is that the 1001's get HOT bad air flow design.
You don't need to configure the MAC offset, the system will assign them in order as you build the configuration "
This does not seem to be the case for the 5500 series. Everytime I created a vlan and assign it an IP I was required to enter a MAC Offset value.
Stamp results:

And we dont have support on this so I cannot upgrade :(

One way to do it is if you know where its connecting to on the other end. Say its an 8610 or something like that, then you can Use Device Manager - IP - ARP tab. This will show you what IP's and MAC's are on each port.
You may want to ping the subnet its one, if you can find that.. that way...
