DXF file - glyphs instead of text in other apps - why?
If you have TurboCad just open the DWG file natively. Don't translate the information into a DWF file if you don't have to. Let TurboCAD translate it into something it KNOWS is usable. Don't take exports when the real thing will do. You will most likely be able to do any conversions you need...- Durnel

deleting empty layers
A trick I've learned from years of CAD use. Thaw all layers and turn all layers on. Window everything and copy/clip it(or copy with base point). Enter the Erase command and type ALL when it asks you to select objects. Hit enter to erase everything in the drawing (barring paper space). NOW...- Durnel

Revit....any good?????
I work for an architectural firm in Minnesota, USA. We've been using Revit for several months now and it has it's quirks as do all new programs.
