    Want to take a graphic (photo) and use a tint (50%)

    I would like to use a photo grapic as a background in a project I am doing. I have photos in clip art, but I'd like to use just a tint of them. (They are too strong to use at full strength, my type isn't legible over them now.) How is this done? I have Pagemaker, Photoshop & Illustrator...
