that's right felix, it uses a 3 bnc connector, and syncs-on-green....although,powerstrip has the option to specify the monitor as sync-on-green and fixed frecuency, but the appear to me as greyed-out optionss...don't know why...maybe because the program takes the monitor specified under...
no, by poor image i mean that, i see the desktop in the appropiate resolution (that is 1280x1024) but it's kinda fuzzy and dark....it's like, it's ALMOST there, but there's something or a parameter that i'm missing or i'm configuring in a bad way....

i'm in the same situation, but using unix, and would like to know if there's a way to know the public ip without going to those addresses...i've tried with traceroute,but i recieve the private address...

hi, i'm on a lan which is subnetted with /28, and the address scheme is a class C which begins with 192.168.1.1 , so that the broadcast address is .15...
so, when i ping to the .15 address, i get this:
64 bytes from 192.168.1.1: icmp_seq=0 ttl=64 time=1.345 ms (DUP!)
64 bytes from 192.168.1.10...
