I am running GM 5.7, and we are planning to reload the server to upgrade the OS to Windows 2000 server. I've done a "practice" run, but I want to make sure I'm not missing something. I loaded the OS, then the SQL 2000, loaded GM, copied back all files to the same directory, and restored the...
The outside reps are given a transfer set based on a "rep code" field. Which, yes we used a filter to create the original transfer set. Problem we're having is when that user changes position or takes over another rep's rep code...we just want to be able to add those records to their existing...
This is what I'd do...Install the Outlook Link to GM on the PC's you need it on, then you can open the GM Email Center and just copy or move email in the GM folders to the Outlook Email Folder...you should be able to see it in the GM Email Center...
Sounds to me, like it could be network cable or port issue. Have you had the network guys check port configuration or the cable connectivity for the LAN connection? Also, have you checked the settings for the NIC to make sure you are running full duplex 100mb (if on a switch port)? Oh, and...
Has anyone had a problem upgrading to SP3 in SQL 2000 running GM 6.5??? Oh, and am I correct in the assumption that all desktops run the MSDE to access GM?
Thank, I figured as much...just like to "check" before I attempt...:0) On Svp Pack 3, we have issues when trying to restore to a point in time...gets hung...they've supposedly fixed that with Svc Pack 4.
I'm no expert, but I would think you could build your filter to merge by using a SQL Querey that has an Order By or Group By statement to put the records in a specific order..
I'm trying to create a report off the SQL "back-end" of GM. I thought the call logs were in the Calendar table. It's confusing me though. Is there somewhere I can get a "list" of where the info in GM is stored? I need the total number of calls "scheduled" by userid and the total number of...
I'm trying to setup a call schedule for a group of contact records that is recurring. If I do it for one record, it sets the call up right...if I use a group, it only schedules one call for each record in the group on that day and nothing after that.....am I doing something wrong? I'm on GM 5.7
I am running GM 5.7 on NT4.0sp6 with a sync server on Win2K. Yesterday afternoon, I got a transaction log is full error from SQL 7.0. I did a transaction log backup and a full backup after to truncate, and it was fine for an hour or so. Then, I have someone run a sync from a newly built...
Rob,
I just wanted to let you know, I tried it; and UREKA!!!!!!!! It worked. Here's some more info on what I've found:
1) It happens on specific records
2) If I log out with the Org Chart open on those records, it will completely hang when trying to get back in; but if I logout on those...
I'll try that...the odd thing is, it's always the same users having the problem over and over again. Other users never do. It's got me stumped...I can't narrow it down to a common denominator. Some of the "problem" users have switched PC's and still have the problem (not hardware)...
Ok, this is an odd one. I'm running GM Sales and Marketing 5.7 on an NT 4.0 box (I know....not my decision....), and I keep having users hang up on login. It will bring up the "borders" of Goldmine and hang. If I delete the user.ini from the server (stored in the root Goldmine...
Thank you. I finally figured out the record type thing...seems our vendor forgot to inform me that the contsupp table stores different information in the fields than you would think on first look....LOL
